Hours before the start of the Mobile World Congress, one of the largest international mobile telephony congresses, Telefónica, introduced its innovations at a creative press conference held in Barcelona. The goal of the event was to use an attractive digital format to show both journalists and customers how the objectives that the company had set the previous year had been met.
Telefónica used the opportunity to present Aura, the virtual assistant that will be integrated into the company’s latest intelligent device for homes: Movistar Home.
At EDT Eventos we got to work and moved to Telefónica’s Barcelona headquarters to prepare a press conference that would fulfil all the company’s goals. The company headquarters in the Diagonal Zero Zero building hosted a multi-screen device (with 5 mechanised LED screens) that created the original and technological atmosphere required to present Telefónica’s innovations.
José María Álvarez-Pallete, president of Telefónica, took the stage to speak about the virtual assistant, its operation and all of its possibilities. After this presentation it was the turn of Chema Alonso, CDO of Telefónica. The screens were removed automatically to show attendees the other setting we had created for the occasion: the living room of a standard house that was to show the proximity of the new, game-changing products that Telefónica offers its users.
In this setting, Chema Alonso made several live demonstrations that clarified José María Álvarez-Pallete’s explanation to the journalists and visitors . Therefore, using simple orders such as “turn on the light”, “put this film on” or “phone mum”, the attendees were able to see first-hand what Aura can bring to their homes in an understandable, useful and immediate way.
First-class technology, artificial intelligence and home automation applications, all at your fingertips and from your living room. What else could you ask for?
